The Right Tools

Musicians’ greatest financial investment is usually their instrument. They make their choice based on how it sounds and plays. While a great musician can make almost any instrument sing, their preference is usually an instrument that compliments their own technique and sound. It’s usually not cheap, either!

I choose my tools with similar standards: what sounds the best and what is most conducive to the act of capturing great music, despite the cost. With that in mind I have selected from the finest audio tools in the world. Microphones by Schoeps, Coles, DPA, Neumann, and AKG. Preamps and converters by Antelope, Sound Devices, CAPI, and JLM. Cabling by Whirlwind and Canare. Software by Avid, Izotope, Fabfilter, Liquid Sonics, Sound Radix, and many others. Since much of my work includes capturing live performances I also have redundant recording systems that guarantee a take isn’t lost to malfunctioning equipment. I have all equipment needed to record 32 channels at 96k or 64 channels at 48k. Basically, I have a recording studio that comes to you.
